ways to stay focused at work

If you’re an aspiring entrepreneur, you know first-hand that it can be difficult at times to stay focused on your work especially for extended periods of time. Balancing working on your goals and other areas of your life are challenging and can be hard to focus on your completing your entrepreneurial goals.

While this isn’t the case for everyone, I know plenty of successful men and women that can get up early and start working until everything is finished no problem at all. However, this isn’t everyone and there are plenty of people who are motivated but have a hard time staying focused on work such as people with ADHD or other disorders. With someone who has goals to crush and no time to waste what is someone with this problem to do?

Well I’m one of those people and after trial and error I’ve been able to identify some extremely useful hacks that will have you laser focused the entire day so that you get all of your tasks done for the day that move you closer to your entrepreneurial goals.

Top 5 Ways to Stay Focus at Work as an Entrepreneur

Best Ways to Stay Focused At Work

1. Meditate Regularly

Meditation is one the best practices you could ever have that improves all aspects of your life, particularly your business life. When you sit down and settle your mind for just 20 minutes a day, it helps you keep your eye on the prize and shut out any negative thoughts that disturb you on a regular basis.

Meditating trains you to focus on the present moment and when you’re trying to work if you meditate that’s all you’ll be able to focus on with nothing disturbing you.

It also decreases stress so it’s a double whammy, it’s easier to focus and a great stress reliever both are great for when you’re trying to get rich.

If you’re not sure how to meditate, don’t worry it’s easy. Just find a quiet place to sit or lay down. Close your eyes and just focus on the present moment as you breathe. As you’re doing this you’ll notice thoughts will come up good bad it doesn’t matter. If you get distracted don’t react just return to focusing on your breathing and do it for a long as you want. I promise afterwards you’ll feel a lot better and will be excited to get to work.

2. Eliminate All Distractions

We live in a world today that monopolizes distraction, whether its social media on your smart phone or the news on TV, having constant distractions everywhere is terrible for productivity. If you’re constantly checking your phone or getting up every five minutes no works getting done. I’ve had that problem before and I have a bad case of ADD so I have to be sure to get every distraction out of my sight if I want to get any work done.

Whether you work from home or go into an office stay OFF your phone. If you need it on for business keep it on but stay off it during work hours. If you work on your computer or laptop close every tab that isn’t related to what you’re doing and keep it that way until all your tasks are done for the day.

3. Listen To Binaural Beats

One of the best tools out there for productivity is listening to binaural beats while you work. Doing so is like taking Adderall without all the side effects. This is a powerful way improve productivity as it allows you to stay focused the entire time you work.

If you’re not sure what binaural beats are they’re basically sounds waves that you listen to that slow down the frequency of your brain. Basically, your brain operates on certain wavelengths, so for example if it’s a busy day at work and you’re stressed you feel your thoughts racing through your head, this is because your brain is producing beta waves and they’re usually produced in high stress situations.

Then there are alpha waves that are produced when you’re in a relaxed state and more calm, you can also notice this when you meditate. Afterwards you’ll notice your mind is calm this is because you slowed down your brain and put it into a calm and relaxed state.

This is what listening to these sound waves do they put you into a calm state that allows you to focus on whatever you’re doing for a long time. If you want to learn more about binaural beats check out brain.fm, there’s hundreds of binaural beat videos on YouTube but I my experience they don’t work that well.

If you sign up with brain.fm however, there are different categories and one of them is “FOCUS” this is the one I listen to whenever I sit down to work so definitely check it out.

4. Work In Chunks

While some people can sit down and work for hours until everything in their planner is done, this is difficult for others and it helps to take short breaks. How does this help you focus I can hear you ask? Well, if you sit down to work for 30 minutes to an hour and then start to get burned out, which is better try to power through and keep going or get up walk around for 5 minutes get some water and just rest your mind for a few minutes.

Personally I’d prefer to rest my mind and keep working throughout the day rather than getting burned out and trying to work while continuously hitting blocks that hinders your overall productivity.

This just comes down to finding out what style of work suits you best, some people can focus better when taking short breaks throughout the day. It might be helpful to play around with your work schedule to see what works best for you.

5. Try Taking Kratom for Maximum Focus and Productivity

If you’ve never heard of Kratom you’re really missing out, it’s the ultimate productivity booster. The first time I tried it I was locked on to my work for hours before I even knew it had passed.

Kratom is a member of the coffee family that plays on the receptors in your brain to create a feeling of euphoria and energy that dramatically improves your motivation levels. This means you feel great while making it easier to get work done. It’s so effective at making you productive and focused that you won’t even notice how much time flies by when you’re working.

There are several different strains of Kratom those being fast medium and slow. The best ones for getting work done and crushing work for the da are usually fast and medium strains. These give you the effects of being energized and motivated to achieve your goals without making you feel tweaked out like taking too much caffeine.

As a quick side note, if you’re interested in trying Kratom you should check vendors online instead of buying them from stores, as the quality is drastically different and is cut with a lot of filler.

Final Thoughts

These are a few methods I’ve used over the years to improve focus for working on projects for my business that I thought people would benefit from. Just using one of these will help you focus longer but when you combine all of them you’ll be able to blaze through your work in record time.

Staying focused is important and can be difficult sometimes, I hope these hacks help you breeze through your work and succeed in your business and work life.
